Life in Rome

Life in Rome is easy and getting there is a cinch. If you're scared of flying, it's not that bad to fly to Rome. It is a long flight, but even for someone who doesn't like to fly, nothing a nap, a movie, or a good book can't help with passing the time. Rome is big but I found my way around Rome very well. If you have never traveled or never been to Rome, it truly couldn't be easier to adapt to a life in Rome, even if it's just traveling for a few weeks. I never traveled and I was amazed at how easy it is. The first day I was off to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Beautiful and breath taking for sure. If you do not know Italian, it is very possible for you to get along fine with a smile and pleasantries. Ciao, buongiorno, grazie, etc...

There's graffiti EVERYWHERE, but you will love it and it is part of Rome's charm. It's colorful and goes nice up against the brick walls. Life in Rome can seem a little hectic, but don't get overwhelmed or distressed. It's city life. There are no lines in the streets so I'm not sure how they don't run into each other in their little zippy cars. It truly fascinates me as I stand on the street corners. There are mopeds everywhere and they drive on the sidewalks so you have to jump out of there way. Seems to be pretty common around here because I looked like the only one concerned. Oh and yes it's true, Life in Rome is full of very fashionable men, more so than the ladies for sure.

Its very hot and humid in the month of September. Tabacchi shops are on every corner for cigarettes, cigars, etc.. I recommend sitting in a park your first night in Rome and as the sun goes down and it cools down, enjoy life in Rome.
